LATHE SETTER-OPERATOR

Job Responsibilities

1. Retrieve and perform simple edits for CNC lathe programs, install fixtures, and set up the machine according to engineering drawings.

2. Load and unload workpieces, complete tool‑setting, conduct metal turning, and monitor the whole machining process.

3. Inspect workpiece dimensions with callipers, micrometres, and adjust machining parameters when necessary.

4. Replace cutting tools, identify and resolve basic machine malfunctions to keep equipment running.

5. Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance for the CNC lathe, and complete equipment maintenance logs.

6. Follow the daily production plan and finish parts manufacturing tasks with guaranteed quality.

7. Accurately fill in production and inspection records.

8. Comply with workshop safety regulations and 5S on‑site management requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of hands‑on working experience as a CNC lathe operator, able to read engineering drawings.

Proficient in machine set‑up, tool setting, simple program modification, and use of measuring instruments.

Willing to work shift work, stand for long periods, and work overtime to meet production schedules.

Practical knowledge of metal cutting processes, basic troubleshooting skills, careful and detail‑oriented.

Follow site instructions and comply with workplace safety rules.

Willingness to work night shift and split shift.

Needs to work on weekends & public holidays
