**Role Description

The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling bank and account statements, and preparing financial reports. The Accountant will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for IT and project-based work, ensuring alignment between financial records and operational activities. The role includes monitoring accounts payable and receivable, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and internal policies. The Accountant will collaborate with finance and operations teams to provide accurate financial data for decision-making and may support audits and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in general accounting principles, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bank/account reconciliations.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, management reports, and supporting documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia, and adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking, particularly in project-based or technology-driven environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work.
  • Effective Arabic & English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across finance, operations, and management teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, SOCPA) are an advantage.
  • Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role; experience in IT or software companies is a plus.
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and discretion in handling confidential financial information.**
