Commercial Manager

As part of the Senior Management team, the Commercial Manager is responsible for leading the commercial strategy, business development, and customer relations of the Dental and Medical Divisions. Reporting directly to the Division Head, the role has direct responsibility for the International Direct Billing (IDB) Team, marketing and the Business Analyst, while providing functional direction and oversight for Dental and Medical services. The Commercial Manager will collaborate closely with key leadership from both Medical and Dental teams, Marketing, and Lab teams to drive patient growth, optimize customer networks, and enhance brand visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive patient acquisition, retention, revenue growth and corporate partnerships. Identify new business opportunities, service expansions, revenue streams and partnership opportunities, supported by market and competitor insights.
• Provide functional oversight and guidance to the International Direct Billing function, ensuring effective insurance billing, claims management, reconciliation and revenue capture. Develop and maintain relationships with insurers and support the optimization of direct billing arrangements, payer mix and commercial terms.
• Provide strategic direction to the Marketing function, ensuring campaigns, branding, patient communications and engagement initiatives support overall commercial and clinic growth objectives. Monitor marketing performance and ROI and recommend improvements where required.
• Provide functional direction across the Dental and Medical divisions to support service quality, efficiency, turnaround times and commercial performance. Identify opportunities to grow the Dental Lab Business and support initiatives relating to procurement, vendors, technology, workflow improvement and service innovation.
• Oversee the development of business dashboards, reports and commercial insights. Analyze key performance indicators including IDB performance, accounts receivable trends, marketing results, business growth and Dental Lab output to support informed decision-making.
• Lead and support the commercial team, including IDB, Marketing and Business Analytics, with clear objectives, performance expectations and accountability. Foster collaboration across Commercial, Operations and Clinical teams to achieve shared organizational goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, corporate partners, referring providers, community networks and other external stakeholders. Represent the organization in commercial discussions, negotiations, industry forums and relevant external engagements.
• Participate in Senior Management discussions and contribute to organization-wide strategy and business planning. Work closely with the Division Head and other leaders on strategic priorities, special projects and initiatives that support the continued growth and development of the Dental and Medical divisions.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• 8–10 years' experience in commercial, healthcare, or insurance management.
• Strong expertise in payer relations, insurance billing, and revenue optimization.
• Proven track record in marketing, business development, or lab/operational oversight.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with analytics-driven strategy.
• Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional departments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in data analytics, CRM platforms, and MS Office.
