About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Investment Research Analyst to join a Singapore-based family office.
The successful candidate will support the investment team in identifying, evaluating and monitoring investment opportunities across global markets. The role will involve conducting in-depth fundamental research, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and portfolio monitoring, with the opportunity to contribute directly to investment discussions anddecision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Investment Research & Analysis
- Conduct fundamental research on companies, industries, sectors and markets to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Analyse business models, competitive positioning, management quality, industry dynamics and long-term growth prospects.
- Review annual reports, financial statements, earnings releases, investor presentations, regulatory filings and other relevant sources.
- Monitor global macroeconomic developments, market trends, geopolitical developments and industry-specific factors that may impact investments.
- Generate and present investment ideas supported by clear investment theses, catalysts, risks and valuation considerations.
Financial Modelling & Valuation
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess company performance and investment potential.
- Conduct valuation analysis using methodologies such as DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, dividend-based valuation and sum-of-the-parts analysis where appropriate.
- Perform scenario, sensitivity and downside analysis to assess potential investment outcomes.
- Analyse financial statements, profitability, cash flow generation, balance sheets and capital allocation decisions.
Due Diligence
- Conduct financial, commercial and industry due diligence on prospective investments.
- Assess investment risks, downside scenarios and key factors that could affect expected returns.
- Coordinate with external advisers, investment managers, brokers, research providers and other professional parties when required.
- Consolidate research findings into concise investment papers and recommendations.
Portfolio Monitoring
- Monitor existing investments and track company, sector and market developments.
- Review portfolio performance and assess whether existing investment theses remain intact.
- Highlight material changes, emerging risks and potential opportunities to the investment team.
- Prepare regular investment updates, portfolio reports and presentations for internal review.
Investment Support
- Assist the Principal / Investment Director with investment decisions and ad-hoc research projects.
- Maintain an organised database of investment research, financial models and supporting documentation.
- Support research across public equities, fixed income, private equity, real estate, funds and other alternative investments as required.
- Continuously develop knowledge of new sectors, markets, investment strategies and emerging investment opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics or a related discipline .
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in investment research, asset management, investment banking, equity research, private equity, family office or a related investment environment.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, company analysis, valuation and investment principles.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
- Ability to conduct independent research and form well-reasoned investment views.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex investment concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and commercial awareness.
- Ability to work independently in a lean and fast-paced family office environment.
- High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and family-office information.
