Job description
Bell Switzerland has been active in the field of education in Geneva for over 40 years, with a constant commitment to providing a high-quality learning environment for each of our students and participants, from Nursery to in-company training for adults.
Bell Switzerland is looking for an experienced and highly organised Finance Coordinator to take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the School.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and smooth running of our financial processes, while working closely with our different departments and external fiduciary.
Your main responsibilities
- Manage client invoicing and accounts receivable across the School's different activities.
- Monitor outstanding balances, issue payment reminders and follow up overdue accounts.
- Manage accounts payable, including supplier invoices and preparation of payments.
- Record and reconcile bank transactions and monitor incoming and outgoing payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor revenue, expenditure, receivables and payables and provide relevant financial information to management.
- Prepare the accounting records, reconciliations and supporting documentation required for month-end closing.
- Support year-end closing and audit preparation in collaboration with the General Manager and external fiduciary.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our finance processes.
The Finance Coordinator will have broad ownership of the School's day-to-day finance and accounting activities, while final month-end closing and statutory financial reporting remain under the responsibility of the General Manager and/or external fiduciary.
Your profile
You have a qualification in accounting, finance or business administration, together with solid professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
You are comfortable managing accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations and general accounting, and ideally have experience of the Swiss accounting environment.
You are rigorous, reliable and highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
You have strong Excel and accounting software (preferably GIT) skills and are comfortable working in a busy environment with multiple activities and stakeholders.
An excellent command of French and a good working knowledge of English are required.
What we are looking for
Above all, we are looking for someone who combines financial rigour with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset: a proactive colleague who enjoys taking responsibility, solving problems and contributing to the smooth and efficient running of an organisation.
Joining Bell means becoming part of an international and dynamic educational environment where quality, collaboration and commitment are at the heart of what we do.
