Key Responsibilities

Lead complex matters: Act as the senior contact for control functions, overseeing requests from intake and scoping through preservation, collection, quality control and secure delivery.

Define defensible scope: Advise on custodians, sources, date ranges, search criteria, proportionality, privacy, cost and timelines; challenge unclear requirements and document decisions.

Own delivery: Set plans, priorities, dependencies and escalation routes for high-risk or time-critical matters, coordinating regional and global teams, technology partners and vendors.

Maintain defensibility and control: Ensure validated, reproducible methods, chain-of-custody, quality evidence and audit trails; identify risks, control gaps and data-quality issues and oversee remediation.

Strengthen governance and performance: Support service forums, accountability, policies, management information and decision records, using SLA, quality, capacity, demand, backlog and cost measures to improve outcomes.

Enable technology change: Represent eDiscovery needs in new applications, archive migrations and platform enhancements, assessing retention, discoverability, search, export, metadata, processing and review readiness.

Manage technology and sensitive data: Apply sound judgement across Microsoft Purview, Relativity and related platforms while meeting legal, privacy, banking-secrecy, information-security and cross-border obligations.

Lead improvement and people: Coach colleagues, promote consistent global practices and advance the operating model, automation and standardisation to strengthen resilience, control and scalability.

Your skills and experience:

Degree or equivalent professional experience in technology, law, information governance, digital forensics, data management or a related discipline. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in eDiscovery, investigations technology, legal technology, digital forensics, information governance or enterprise data services, preferably in financial or professional services.

Strong knowledge of the eDiscovery lifecycle, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, review support, production, quality control, chain-of-custody and defensibility.

Experience leading complex, sensitive or time-critical legal, regulatory and investigative matters in a highly controlled organisation.

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Purview eDiscovery, Relativity or comparable review platforms, compliance archives and enterprise data sources. Sound understanding of technology risk, data privacy, information security, records management, cross-border handling, third-party delivery and audit evidence.

Ability to translate legal, regulatory and business needs into clear requirements, controls, procedures, delivery plans and technology change, supported by strong service-management, KPI and remediation skills.

Credible communicator and leader able to advise senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, influence global matrixed teams and manage competing priorities with discretion and control discipline.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
