Civil Inspector

AREC Engineering Consultant is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer Inspector to support our project teams in Dubai. The role involves site inspection, quality monitoring, coordination with contractors, and ensuring that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved project documents and required standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform site inspections and monitor ongoing construction activities.
• Inspect civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure works to ensure proper execution.
• Verify that works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review the quality of materials and workmanship used on site.
• Report construction defects, discrepancies, and non-compliance issues.
• Follow up with contractors on corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, contractors, and other site personnel.
• Monitor site progress and report any issues affecting quality or project execution.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain proper records of site activities.
• Participate in site meetings, inspections, and technical coordination as required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable project quality and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in site inspection or construction supervision.
• Experience with consultants or engineering consultancy firms is preferred.
• Good understanding of construction methods, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
• Ability to read and understand civil and structural drawings.
• Strong observation, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
