About the Role

As an SDE-1 at Everyday Labs , you will join a high-leverage engineering initiative designed to architect and deploy advanced technical solutions for the company’s most critical challenges.

What the role entails:

• Learning about Fintech
• Building and maintaining services, APIs and features - on a stack that consists mainly of Python, BigQuery and SQL
• Writing the background jobs that keep our data in sync, and the internal dashboards the squad uses to run the business
• Taking your work all the way through - tested, reviewed, verified on staging, and working in production
• Working with internal and external partners on integrations

What we're looking for:

• Strong problem solving skills - you break a vague, messy problem into steps and work it through instead of stalling
• Readable code - clear names, obvious structure, code that explains itself
• Robust code - you think about the empty list, the missing value, the duplicate run, not just the happy path
• Strong SQL - joins, aggregation, indexing, and a sense of what makes a query expensive
• Debugging - you trace problems to the source instead of guessing
• Ownership - you take responsibility and see things through
• Testing your own work before calling it done
• Reading code before writing it, so what you add fits the codebase it lands in
• Clear written English - most of our coordination is written
