Job description
We’re Hiring: Resident Engineer – ASUS Device Repair
Mars Digital Systems LLC (MarsSys) is looking for a skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team and provide on-site technical support and repair services for ASUS laptops, Chromebooks, AIOs, and other computing devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair ASUS laptops, Chromebooks, AIOs, and related IT devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Perform component-level replacement and repair where applicable.
- Replace faulty parts such as keyboards, touchpads, LCD panels, batteries, hinges, motherboards, SSDs, RAM, cameras, Wi-Fi cards, etc.
- Perform BIOS updates, driver installation, OS troubleshooting, and hardware diagnostics.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and device health checks.
- Accurately document repair activities, parts replaced, and device status.
- Ensure devices are repaired within agreed turnaround times.
- Perform quality checks before returning devices to users/customers.
- Coordinate with MarsSys service and support teams for spare parts and escalated issues.
- Maintain proper records of repaired devices and recurring technical issues.
- Follow ASUS/MarsSys repair procedures and quality standards.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in laptop/PC hardware repair and troubleshooting.
- Strong hands-on experience with laptop hardware.
- Experience with ASUS devices will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, BIOS, drivers, hardware diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify hardware failures and replace components efficiently.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently at a customer/resident site.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- Candidates with ASUS/authorized service center experience will have an added advantage.
