Structural Engineer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and approving structural designs and calculations for temporary and permanent structures used in exhibitions, events, and related projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure all structural elements are safe, stable, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve structural designs, drawings, calculations, and engineering submissions.
• Assess the structural integrity and stability of exhibition stands, platforms, stages, suspended structures, trusses, load-bearing elements, and temporary structures.
• Verify structural calculations, load assessments, connection details, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, engineering standards, health and safety requirements, and authority regulations.
• Identify potential structural risks and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
• Conduct site inspections when required to verify that structures are installed in accordance with approved designs.
• Review modifications or changes to structural designs and assess their impact on safety and stability.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records of approvals, calculations, drawings, inspections, and technical correspondence.
• Support the project team in resolving structural and technical issues efficiently and professionally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer, preferably in exhibitions, events, temporary structures, stages, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, design standards, and applicable codes.
• Experience reviewing structural calculations, drawings, and technical submissions.
• Ability to assess temporary structures and non-standard structural arrangements.
• Proficiency in relevant structural engineering and calculation software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
• Professional engineering certification or registration is an advantage.
• UAE experience and knowledge of local authority requirements is preferred.

• Location: Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), Dubai
• Employment Type: Part Time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,500.00 per month
