We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in managing and coordinating MEP works for multi-storey and high-rise building projects, including projects such as G+1, G+4 and above, within Dubai/UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) activities at project sites.
- Coordinate MEP works with civil, architectural, structural and other disciplines.
- Manage MEP execution for residential, commercial and high-rise building projects.
- Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, material submittals and method statements.
- Ensure site works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, authority requirements and UAE standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure MEP works are completed according to the approved schedule.
- Identify and resolve MEP coordination and technical issues at site.
- Attend project, technical and coordination meetings with consultants and clients.
- Manage inspections, testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
- Ensure compliance with DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence and other relevant authority requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower and material requirements.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant MEP experience.
- Dubai/UAE construction experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience handling G+4, G+8 and/or high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage and Fire Fighting systems.
- Good understanding of Dubai authority regulations and approval processes.
- Strong knowledge of MEP coordination, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Ability to read and review MEP drawings and technical documents.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, clients and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage MEP activities at site.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office and relevant project management software is preferred.
Preferred Candidate
- Currently available in the UAE.
- Previous experience with main contractors or MEP contracting companies in Dubai.
- Experience from project commencement through testing, commissioning and final handover.
- UAE Driving Licence will be an advantage.
