Job description
Your (space) mission
As the Maintenance Engineer Space Technology at cosine, you ensure the reliability of the advanced equipment that enables the development and production of cutting-edge space instrumentation. You maintain a unique combination of cleanroom systems, precision manufacturing equipment, and highly specialized laboratory machinery that cannot simply be replaced off the shelf.
Tasks & responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Execute, optimize, and continuously improve preventive maintenance plans for cleanroom systems, laboratory equipment, and precision manufacturing machinery
- Diagnose technical failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
- Maintain and improve critical equipment that supports the development and production of advanced space instrumentation
- Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, external suppliers, and maintenance records to ensure operational continuity
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable safety standards and contribute to a safe and reliable working environment
Your profile
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline
- Experience maintaining technical equipment in a production, laboratory, or other high-tech environment
- Experience working with maintenance or asset management systems
- VCA-VOL certification or an equivalent safety qualification
- Certified for electrical work, or willing to obtain the required certification
- Fluent in both Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and operational teams
