About the Job
The Retail Operations Manager Central owns retail operations across the Central Europe geo, covering Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
Responsible for operational standards, compliance, audit processes, retail systems, and performance management, the role ensures stores operate efficiently, consistently, and in line with global standards. As the senior operational escalation point for the region, the role partners with Retail Leads, market teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and drive store performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational execution & standards: provide day-to-day store support (opening/closing, cash handling, inventory control, POS processes, operational checklists and daily reporting), maintain SOP and process clarity (returns-to-vendor, negative stock), and embed the CRE standard through regular store visits (minimum 2 days per week in stores, proactive and insight-driven) and new-manager inductions.
Systems & Omni enablement: enable and support EPOS, RFID, Smart Safe, Omni Gift Card, ORS and SFS; provide training and IT feedback; and own the in-store Omni KPIs end-to-end.
Compliance & audit framework: run the regional audit framework (weekly Yoobic audits, corrective-action plans, on-site operations audits) and respond to recurring Global Audit team questions.
Loss prevention, fraud & stocktakes: lead loss prevention, fraud examination and stocktakes, safeguarding stock and transaction accuracy.
KPI monitoring & performance management: monitor stock accuracy, shrinkage, transaction accuracy, productivity and working hours, and manage store performance against revenue and operational targets.
Geo leadership & stakeholder governance: act as the senior escalation point for the geo, align cross-functionally with IT, Loss Prevention, HR and Finance, represent the geo to global/HQ teams, and co-define operational targets and incentives with Retail Leads.
About You
Degree, commercial apprenticeship, or equivalent business-related qualification
Experience in Retail Operations, Retail Management, or Store Management, ideally within a multinational or multi-market environment
Hands-on store experience with a strong understanding of retail operations and standards
Solid understanding of retail standards, compliance requirements, audit processes, and performance management
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and KPIs to support decision-making
Independent, structured and detail-oriented approach to work
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset
Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Interest and aptitude for working with various retail systems, applications and interfaces
Willingness to travel regularly across the Central Europe region
Comfortable spending approximately two days per week in stores
This is a hybrid position based in our Offenbach office. You will be expected to work from the office three days per week, although office attendance may vary depending on business needs.
The expected salary range for this role is €67,800 - €90,500 gross per annum. The amount an employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, and our needs. Salary ranges may vary by location and currency.
