Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Mechanical to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mechanical inspections on building construction projects, ensuring all work meets established specifications, building codes, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of construction quality and safety.

  • Conduct thorough mechanical inspections on building construction projects, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical mechanical components, and related installations

  • Verify that all mechanical work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes and regulations

  • Analyze inspection findings and identify any defects, non-conformances, or deviations from project requirements

  • Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence and recommendations

  • Communicate inspection findings to project managers, contractors, and relevant stakeholders in a clear and professional manner

  • Coordinate with construction teams to ensure timely remediation of identified issues and re-inspection of corrected work

  • Maintain organized and comprehensive inspection records, logs, and documentation for project files

  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure mechanical systems are functioning properly before project handover

  • Stay current with building codes, mechanical standards, and industry best practices relevant to construction in the UAE

  • Collaborate with other inspectors and project teams to ensure consistent quality standards across all projects

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical inspection or quality assurance within building construction projects

  • Diploma or degree required in Mechanical Engineering

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems

  • Strong understanding of building codes, mechanical standards, and construction regulations applicable to the UAE

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measuring instruments (pressure gauges, thermometers, multimeters, etc.)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify defects and non-conformances

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate findings effectively both verbally and in written reports

  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects in a professional environment

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining safe work practices

  • Relevant inspection certification or license (preferred)

  • Familiarity with construction management software and digital documentation systems (preferred)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
