At Expedia Group, we help travelers explore the world, one journey at a time. As a global travel company powered by passionate people, trusted partnerships, and leading technology, we connect travelers, partners, and advertisers through our consumer brands, B2B network, and travel advertising business.

Here, you'll do meaningful work that helps millions of people discover, book, and experience travel with more ease, confidence, and joy. Our five Behaviors-Traveler First, Think Big, Operate with Excellence, Ownership Mindset, and Succeed Together-help foster a supportive environment where people can grow their careers and have the flexibility, benefits, and support to do their best work. Join us and build for travelers everywhere.

Our Technology Team partners with teams across Expedia Group to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction.

Introduction to the Team

The Supply team builds and scales partner-facing technology that helps our partners succeed across the Expedia Group platform. We work at the intersection of product, engineering, and business operations to deliver reliable, high-impact solutions that improve partner experiences, enable growth, and support strategic initiatives across a global ecosystem.

Our team values strong ownership, technical excellence, collaboration, and customer focus. We solve complex problems at scale, move quickly with purpose, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. Joining Supply means working on products and platforms that directly influence partner success and contribute to Expedia Group’s broader mission.

In this role, you will:

Design, build, and evolve highly available, scalable services and APIs, including low-level system design, API design, and data modeling, to support complex business capabilities across multiple domains.

Lead end-to-end delivery of features and services, from technical discovery and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support, ensuring reliability, observability, and performance.

Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business and partner requirements into robust technical solutions that are reusable and extensible across domains.

Raise the technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, technical mentorship, and hands-on implementation of best practices in coding standards, security, performance optimization, and cloud-native operations.

Design and implement agentic experiences, workflow and systems, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.

Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, tooling, automation, and operational excellence, proactively identifying technical risks and opportunities to simplify, modernize, and scale services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.

8+ years of relevant professional software development experience.

Professional experience designing, implementing, and operating backend or full-stack services, including responsibility for low-level system design, API design, and data modeling.

Proven ownership of one or more production services or components, including ongoing maintenance, quality, and operational health within a team or multi-service domain context.

Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks, with demonstrated experience building, testing, and deploying services in a cloud-native environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience designing and evolving distributed systems and APIs that operate at significant scale, with a track record of improving reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Proven experience in designing agentic systems, tools, skills, evals and working with agent harness.

Proficient in TypeScript, React and knowledge of AWS technologies and services.

Demonstrated leadership in driving technical architecture for features or services within a broader domain, including making data-informed tradeoffs and aligning designs with long-term platform strategy.

Strong focus on operational excellence, including deep experience with observability, incident response, root cause analysis, and building resilient systems with automated testing and CI/CD.

Demonstrated ability to work across multiple domains or stacks (e.g., backend, APIs, data layers, or relevant UI surfaces) to deliver end-to-end solutions and mentor others in high-quality engineering practices, with familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.

Please note that this role is only available in the following location: Geneva, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. Relocation assistance will be considered for candidates relocating to these locations for this role.
