Agent Deployment Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on deployment role at an early-stage AI startup in the procurement automation space, sitting at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer success. You'll own the full journey from signed contract to confirmed first value — building the playbooks and infrastructure that let the team scale without founder involvement at every step.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own end-to-end deployments: plan timelines, align stakeholders, orchestrate go-lives, and shield engineers from onboarding work.

• Configure and tune AI agents to each customer's procure-to-pay workflows, testing against real cases until they perform in production.

• Translate customer requirements into clear integration specs for engineering (ERP, DMS, email infrastructure) and flag risks early.

• Run key user trainings and manage change so customers realise tangible value from day one.

• Build support infrastructure — ticketing systems, escalation paths, and partner frameworks — and handle live issues hands-on.

• Engage customer IT departments during sales cycles in German, addressing security and compliance questions with technical credibility.

• Capture recurring challenges, edge cases, and field feedback and feed them back to product and engineering weekly.

• Run each onboarding as a structured project, managing parallel deployments and competing stakeholder priorities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2–3 years in consulting or structured implementation, delivering complex projects with senior client stakeholders on time and on scope.

• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and tuning AI agents or autonomous systems in production environments.

• Native German proficiency and strong professional English (C1+); able to lead technical discussions with enterprise IT and senior management in German.

• Experience mapping enterprise business processes (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, or similar) to system workflows and integration requirements.

• Technical depth in ERP systems, data integration, and enterprise IT sufficient to translate customer requirements into engineering specs.

• Demonstrated ability to build operational processes, playbooks, and support infrastructure from scratch in early-stage or scaling environments.

• Experience with customer training, change management, and adoption support for process or system implementations.

• Daily, practical experience working with AI tools and a clear-eyed understanding of what agents can and cannot do.

• Background in supply chain, procurement, or industrial operations is a strong plus.

• Startup or high-growth environment experience with a builder mindset and comfort making decisions under ambiguity.
