Corporate HSE & Compliance Manager

Makani Real Estate is looking for an experienced Corporate HSE & Compliance Manager to lead HSE, Fire & Life Safety, and regulatory compliance across our real estate portfolio.

This role will be responsible for ensuring continuous compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and will act as a key point of coordination with Civil Defence, ADM/DMT and other relevant authorities .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HSE and regulatory compliance across multiple assets.
• Coordinate directly with Civil Defence and other government authorities.
• Manage authority inspections, audits, approvals, observations and closure of findings.
• Oversee Fire & Life Safety compliance in line with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and NFPA standards.
• Conduct compliance audits and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance trackers for permits, certificates, inspections and renewals.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, evacuation drills and incident investigations.
• Manage PTW governance and contractor safety compliance.
• Ensure all assets remain audit-ready and authority-ready.
• Prepare compliance reports and dashboards for senior management.

Requirements

• 10–12+ years of relevant UAE experience in HSE, Fire & Life Safety or regulatory compliance.
• Experience within Facilities Management, Real Estate, Property Management, malls or mixed-use assets .
• Strong direct experience dealing with Civil Defence authorities is essential.
• Proven experience managing authority inspections, findings and corrective-action closure.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and NFPA standards.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification required.
• Additional certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, CFI or CFPS are highly desirable.
