Project Manager – Structural Expert

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Structural Expert with approximately 20 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and project management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in road infrastructure and structural works, including bridges, tunnels, precast structures, and cast-in-place post-tensioned structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering works for infrastructure and road projects.
• Review and coordinate structural design, tender drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Provide technical expertise for various types of road-related structures.
• Review structural designs related to bridges, tunnels, precast structures, and cast-in-place post-tensioned structures.
• Ensure structural designs comply with applicable UAE standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Familiarize and coordinate with the requirements of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Municipalities for structural works.
• Monitor design quality, technical compliance, project progress, and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to structural engineers and design teams.
• Support tendering and technical proposal activities, including review of design and tender documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Equivalency Certificate is mandatory.
• Approximately 20 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Strong experience in UAE infrastructure and road projects.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Municipality requirements and procedures.
• Proven expertise in:
  • Bridges
  • Tunnels
  • Precast structures
  • Cast-in-place post-tensioned structures
  • Road structural works
  • Structural design and design review
  • Tender and construction drawings

Key Skills

• Strong structural design and design-review capabilities.
• Excellent knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
• Ability to review and challenge complex structural designs.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within schedule and quality requirements.
