This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist, will administer routine customer facing order management activities. This role ensures timely execution of purchase and sales contracts, supports logistics from origin to destination, and maintains communication with internal teams and external partners. You will help fulfill contractual obligations efficiently and in alignment with planning and trading strategies.

We offer hybrid work: 3 days in the office at Amsterdam Schiphol, 2 days from home.

During the onboarding period we expect 4 days of work from the office.

Key Accountabilities

  • Receive and process straightforward customer orders across multiple platforms following standard procedures.
  • Manage sales and purchase contracts to ensure their clauses are fully understood and executable to guarantee legal and fiscal requirement compliance. Manage inbound and outbound raw material movements to maintain accurate inventory levels

  • Maintain and foster established relationships with customers, suppliers and other business partners, such as supervision companies, insurance companies, laboratories, agents, warehouses, freight forwarders
  • Explain basic information and inform customers about shipment status, invoices, contract balances and other information needed to complete an order.
  • Process standard document requests and some ad hoc requests of higher complexity from customers and confirm final shipping and quality documentation and specifications to customer.
  • Escalate undocumented issues that are not commonly defined or known to higher level staff.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities to improve the order management processes.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commodity Trading, or related industries.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to manage priorities independently.
  • Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and a strong focus on process improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management/CI experience a plus (Lean Six Sigma)
  • Experience with SAP (ACM), and tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, or Python Our Offer
