Cloud DevOps Engineer | Azure Platform

We are looking for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to help keep our client’s Azure Cloud Platform reliable, secure and cost-efficient. You’ll work at the core of Azure Platform Engineering, building Infrastructure as Code, running production-grade AKS clusters, and shaping the standards other teams build on, in an environment where AI is actively used to accelerate the work.

About the role

Azure is the foundation for many of our client’s digital services, spanning cloud, on-premises datacentres, offices and vessels worldwide. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you design and operate this infrastructure, automate wherever possible, and apply Infrastructure as Code, Azure Policy and landing zone principles to keep the platform secure and aligned with standards. Rather than solving one-off requests, you build reusable capabilities for other teams.

You’ll be based in Rotterdam, working full-time (40 hours/week) on an assignment running through the end of 2026, in an environment that combines modern cloud services with real-world legacy challenges around integration and security.

Who are you?

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with Azure as your primary specialisation
• Strong hands-on Azure platform engineering across IaaS, PaaS, security and monitoring
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform/Bicep, applied as modules across multi-subscription environments
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably AKS: architecture, node pools, ingress, storage, workload identity and ArgoCD
• A GitOps way of working with code as the single source of truth
• Cloud Native mindset with a strong focus on automation and security
