Job description

Precision Engineering QC Inspector role tailored for local precision manufacturing standards:

Job Summary

Perform incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control inspections on precision-machined parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and ISO/QMS standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and first-article inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished assemblies.
  • Interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
  • Operate standard precision measuring instruments including vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, profile projectors, and microscopes.
  • Run or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and automated optical inspection equipment where applicable.
  • Identify defect trends, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and liaise with production engineers to support root cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, calibration logs, and test data in compliance with company QMS procedures.
  • Adhere to 5S housekeeping principles, cleanroom protocols, and workplace safety guidelines.

Key Requirements

  • Education: NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Mechanical, Precision, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on QC experience within precision engineering, aerospace, semiconductor, or metal fabrication environments.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading technical blueprints, GD&T callouts, and manual metrology tool setup.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic competence in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and documentation.
  • Attributes: High visual accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work independently or perform shift work if required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience operating or programming CMM software (e.g., Mitutoyo, Zeiss) or SmartScope equipment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards or ESD safety procedures.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $4,500.00 per month
