The Corporate Development Analyst, xScale will play an important role in supporting xScale's strategy through evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives, investments, partnerships, and transactions. They are expected to build strong partnerships with Corporate Development, Tax, Controllership, FP&A, GDC, Legal and Operations, among other teams to support transaction execution, assess market opportunities and develop investment recommendations.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and financial modeling skills with strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to effectively communicate insights to the Equinix executive leadership.
Responsibilities
Transaction Evaluation & Execution
- Support the execution of strategic transactions
- Support due diligence efforts across internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Support in the development of investment memos and executive-level presentations for senior leadership and approval committees
- Assist in transaction structuring, negotiation support, and execution activities
Financial Modeling & Decision Support
- Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate strategic investments and growth initiatives
- Conduct discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, precedent transaction, and other valuation analyses
- Analyze financial and operational performance data to support strategic decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Finance, Strategy, Legal, Development, Operations, and Commercial teams to drive execution
- Support integration planning and post-transaction activities when applicable
- Support the annual underwriting process of the in place portfolio in collaboration with broader xScale team
Investment Management
- Conduct market research and competitive analyses across the digital infrastructure, hyperscale, cloud, AI, and data center sectors
- Proactively communicates with internal departments to ensure accurate data is used for modeling purposes
- Conducts financial modeling and assists in development of presentations
- Coordinates with Design, Construction, Sales, Ops, Finance and other departments to determine optimal development plans
- Assists with creation of investment proposals to executive management
- Assists in evaluation of site business performance against plans
- Conducts financial analysis and IRR models
Preferred
- Experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud, AI infrastructure, real estate, or energy sectors
- Exposure to M&A transactions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, or large-scale capital projects
- Familiarity with project finance and infrastructure investment analysis, ideally with previous investment banking and / or corporate development experience
- Proven experience with financial modelling in Excel and Power Point Proved experience in accounting and financial analysis, understanding the main drivers and relation of the 3 financial statements

- Deliver high-quality analyses and recommendations that support strategic decision-making
- Effectively manage transaction workstreams and due diligence processes
- Develop robust financial models and investment cases
- Build trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders and work independently
- Demonstrate a team oriented and flexible way of working, show high levels of adaptability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; CPA a plus
- 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Investment Banking/Top tier Management consulting/Corporate Finance/Corporate Development at a leading technology company preferred
