Supplier Management Specialist

Position Overview

The Supplier Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing supplier relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining efficient procurement and supply chain operations. This role focuses on evaluating vendor performance, managing contracts, resolving supply issues, and supporting continuous improvement across the supplier network.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supplier & Vendor Relations

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Coordinate communication between internal departments and external vendors.

2. Performance Monitoring & Evaluation

• Track and assess supplier performance using SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
• Prepare periodic vendor performance reports for management review.
• Recommend corrective actions or improvement plans for underperforming suppliers.

3. Contract & Agreement Management

• Support the drafting, reviewing, and updating of supplier contracts.
• Assist in negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, service levels, and legal terms.
• Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

4. Issue Resolution & Problem Solving

• Address and resolve supply-related issues such as late deliveries, damaged goods, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation of issues and resolutions for audit and compliance purposes.

5. Market Research & Supplier Sourcing

• Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers, alternative materials, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate potential vendors based on capability, pricing, reliability, and compliance.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce risk and improve supply chain efficiency.

6. Data & Record Management

• Maintain accurate supplier databases, item catalogs, and procurement records.
• Update vendor profiles, performance logs, and contract archives.
• Ensure data accuracy for audits, reporting, and compliance checks.

7. Risk & Compliance Management

• Ensure suppliers adhere to safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and ethical sourcing requirements.
• Identify supply chain risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in supplier management, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.

Technical & Software Skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong skills in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with procurement platforms and vendor management systems.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for dealing with local and international suppliers.
• Ability to present data clearly and professionally to management and stakeholders.

Negotiation Skills

• Proven ability to negotiate pricing, service terms, and contract conditions effectively.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

• Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance data, and cost structures.
• Strong decision-making skills to resolve supply chain issues efficiently.

Pay: ﷼8,000.00 - ﷼9,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
