  • 80% - 100%
  • Supply Chain Management
  • English

As the top Swiss e-commerce platform, with a crew of over 4’000 across Switzerland, Germany, and Serbia, Galaxus is poised to move into new markets. Our driving force is our determination to keep challenging the status quo. That’s why we’re on the lookout for characters who’re passionate about making genuine improvements. We’ll give you the freedom and trust to make an impact, to grow with us and to be yourself. Act galactic. Be you.

Would you like to help launch something completely new and be part of shaping, supporting, and creating a culture of safety and health protection right from the start? Then you’ve come to the right place at us—we’re opening our warehouse in Neuchâtel next year and are looking for someone who’s passionate about developing workplace safety and health protection and taking them to a whole new level. We’re looking for someone who not only advises our managers and employees, but above all actively supports them and guides them in their day-to-day work.

Your responsibilities

  • Point of contact for concerns and issues relating to health and safety at the site, supporting the responsible safety officer (if you have not yet completed your training)
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, authorities, auditors and service providers
  • Implementing projects in the field of occupational health and safety, and ensuring these aspects are taken into account in the implementation of general projects
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements in the field of occupational health and safety in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and support functions (Sifa, fire safety officer, etc.)
  • Conducting, developing and refining training programmes, briefings, risk assessments, incident and accident analyses and audits, and providing support in the implementation and follow-up of the resulting measures
  • Raising staff awareness of safety and general compliance issues, and implementing, establishing and embedding a safety culture

Your skills

  • Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach
  • Experience in an operational or logistics environment, ideally in the field of health and safety
  • Very good written and spoken German and English; French would also be an advantage
  • Team spirit and a willingness to work with relevant stakeholders to find meaningful solutions
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and constantly striving to further optimise health and safety
  • Analytical thinking and a structured, independent and solution-oriented approach to work come naturally to you
  • A strong sense of responsibility and integrity are hallmarks of your character
  • Build trust through consistent and reliable actions
  • Use creativity and initiative to solve problems and achieve goals
  • Desirable: Qualification as an occupational safety specialist (Sifa- Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) or the desire and willingness to obtain this
  • Desirable: Training as a fire safety officer (Brandschutzbeauftragte/r)

Why start with us?

  • Values, not empty words: Cooperative, innovative, piratesque, responsible, ambitious – these five values are what we practise and preach
  • Courageous thinking: We encourage everyone to think on their feet, and love it when they come up with bold or edgy ideas
  • Uncomplicated approach: Simplicity is at our core. We avoid the unnecessary and focus on what really matters – from overcoming challenges to celebrating our shared successes
  • Flexibility and freedom: Every position is possible with an 80% workload
  • Rapid growth: With us, growth is a continuous journey. We also support you with EDU points (1600 € or 2000 minutes) per year for your professional development so there’s no risk of you getting stuck in a rut
  • More benefits: 28 days of holiday, exclusive employee conditions in our online shop, a shuttle service and other benefits.

Diversity is our culture.

To build the best team, we want to draw from the full spectrum of talent out there. This means people from all walks of life have the same opportunities with us, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, disability status, gender identity, sexual orientation or age. We believe true inclusion means everyone is welcome and each contribution is valuable.
