Job Title: Head of Public Beaches and Waterways Policies and Strategies Section

About the client: A prominent Dubai government entity

Summary:

Lead the development of policies, strategies and long-term plans for Dubai’s public beaches, waterways and related coastal assets.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and review of policies, strategies, standards and guidelines for public beaches and waterways.
• Develop strategic plans supporting the sustainable development and enhancement of Dubai’s beaches, waterways and waterfront areas.
• Provide strategic input into master plans, coastal projects and public beach development initiatives.
• Conduct research, benchmarking and analysis of international best practices in coastal, waterfront and beach development.
• Develop frameworks and KPIs to monitor the performance and effectiveness of policies and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate with government entities, internal departments, consultants, developers and other stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations on sustainability, environmental protection, accessibility, public safety and visitor experience.
• Lead strategic studies, reports and policy papers and present recommendations to senior management.
• Perform other duties related to the role as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Must-have significant experience in public beaches, waterways, or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable coastal and waterways development and management.
• Candidates with UAE family book is more preferred
