Junior HSE Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior HSE Officer to support our site HSE team in implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures at project sites. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of UAE HSE requirements, be willing to work at construction sites and have a proactive approach toward maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring company HSE policies and procedures at project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure workers comply with PPE and site safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining HSE reports, checklists, inspection records and other documentation.
• Monitor compliance with Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permit-to-Work procedures.
• Report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and other safety observations to the HSE management.
• Assist in conducting incident investigations and preparing corrective/preventive action reports.
• Monitor housekeeping, working at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, hot work and other site activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors and site management to ensure safety requirements are properly implemented.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills and other HSE awareness activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE HSE regulations and project-specific safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / other relevant HSE certification will be an advantage.
• 1–2 years of HSE experience, preferably in construction or contracting.
• UAE construction/site experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of basic HSE practices and site safety procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare basic HSE reports and documentation.
• Willingness to work at project sites and under challenging site conditions.
• Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.
