Job Title: Head of Parks & Recreational Facilities Development and Control Section

About the client: A prominent Dubai government entity

Summary:

Supervise the management of all operations carried out by the Parks and Recreational Facilities Development and Control Section in the Emirate of Dubai, relating to assessing the condition of the department's parks and recreational facilities, implementing the necessary plans to develop and improve the department's park and recreational-facility services, in addition to overseeing all public parks and recreational facilities and everything displayed within them, in accordance with the approved work plans and programs.

Responsibilities:

• Set and implement the section’s strategic and operational objectives, work plans, and staff responsibilities.
• Oversee the section’s budget, procedures, performance standards, and staff matters, including performance, training, promotions, and leave.
• Lead the development and improvement of parks and recreational facilities based on global best practices and initiatives to increase visitor numbers.
• Oversee the assessment and inspection of parks and recreational facilities, including surveys, inventories, reports, and recommendations.
• Oversee periodic inspections of parks and recreational facilities, ensuring compliance and addressing violations or non-conformities.
• Supervise public parks and recreational facilities, ensuring security, safety, compliance, and visitor well-being.
• Oversee educational and guidance signage in parks and beaches, ensuring appropriate and approved content.
• Perform other duties related to the role as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in parks, recreational facilities, landscape/public realm development, or a related field.
• Candidates with UAE family book is more preferred
