Senior Design Manager ID

Dutco Construction is seeking an accomplished Senior Design Manager (ID) with strong main‑contracting experience to lead Interior Design management for the Dubai Square Mall mega‑development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record delivering large‑scale commercial, retail, hospitality, or mixed‑use developments, with strong exposure to interior design packages, consultant management, and construction‑driven design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Interior Design (ID) activities from concept through IFC and construction stages.
• Coordinate with architects, ID consultants, specialist subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Review and approve design submissions, shop drawings, material selections, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and main‑contractor standards.
• Drive value engineering initiatives focused on buildability, cost optimization, and design efficiency.
• Resolve design conflicts through proactive coordination and technical leadership.
• Manage design schedules, deliverables, and interface milestones across multiple stakeholders.
• Support procurement by evaluating technical proposals and ensuring alignment with ID design intent.
• Lead design workshops, coordination meetings, and client/consultant interface sessions.
• Ensure timely issuance of IFC drawings and construction‑ready documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field.

15–18 years of experience in the construction industry, with significant exposure to main contracting .

Strong background in interior design management for large‑scale commercial or retail projects.

Proven experience working on mega‑projects in the UAE or GCC.

Excellent knowledge of authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, RTA, Civil Defense).

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, high‑pressure project environments.
