Summary Location: Tuas South Avenue, Singapore

As a Maintenance Engineer at Novartis, you'll play an important role in keeping our manufacturing equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently. We're looking for someone with a positive, hands-on attitude who enjoys troubleshooting problems, improving reliability, and finding smarter ways to maintain equipment while controlling costs. About The Role Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Drive asset reliability improvements through data-driven maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate GMP documentation, standard operating procedures, maintenance records, and compliance logs.
  • Manage maintenance activities and work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Support equipment projects, commissioning activities, upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate vendors, safety requirements, and daily maintenance activities to ensure efficient site operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of pumps, agitators, vessels, piping systems, and industrial equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
  • Exposure to sterile, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn, embrace new technologies, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with asset reliability principles, predictive maintenance practices, SAP, or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.

  • Comfortable working with artificial intelligence-enabled tools and embracing new technologies to improve ways of working.
