MEP Estimation Engineer

Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical works in MEP projects. The role involves expertise in Electrical, and Plumbing, along with detailed analysis of drawings, BOQs, and tender documents to support competitive and profitable bidding.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertise in Electrical, and Plumbing, also reviews tender documents, electrical drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed material take-offs (MTO) and cost estimates for electrical systems including lighting, power, ELV, and LV panels.
• Obtain, analyze, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tender submissions.
• Coordinate with design and procurement teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain updated records of material prices, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Support management during pre-bid and post-bid clarification meetings.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimation (MEP projects)
• GCC/UAE experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, tendering, and pricing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools.
