Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Business Application Implementation Specialist for ING. You will join ING's Corporate Legal Operations (CLO) team and support the implementation of a new Legal Entity Management System, as well as other change initiatives.
The primary focus of this role is the implementation of the new Legal Entity Management System. In addition, you will support changes and improvements related to other legal applications.
The Corporate Legal Operations team at ING
The Corporate Legal Operations team (CLO) consists of 5 paralegals and 5 functional application management/project management support colleagues. The team works in a dynamic, international and challenging environment and collaborates with various departments across different levels and geographies within ING.
The team is responsible for procedural legal activities, corporate housekeeping, program management support and the management of several legal applications, including:
- ING's Legal Entity Management System
- iManage for document management
- Sherpany for facilitating board meetings
- Powers of Attorney Management System
- Microsoft Power Platform to support various processes
Collaboration and continuous improvement are important parts of the team's way of working.
What will you do?
As a Business Application Implementation Specialist within ING's CLO team, your primary focus will be supporting the implementation of the new Legal Entity Management System.
Legal Entity Management System implementation
Your responsibilities include:
- Support the implementation of the new Legal Entity Management System: contribute to the rollout of the new application by supporting planning, configuration, testing, data migration and user adoption activities.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT): prepare, execute and document test scenarios to verify that the application meets business requirements and works effectively for end users.
- Support application configuration: help translate business needs into practical application settings, workflows and user roles, working closely with the project team, ING TECH and the software vendor.
- Validate data conversion and data quality: assess whether data from the current system has been transferred accurately and completely, identify issues and support follow-up actions to improve data quality.
- Support issue resolution and deployment activities.
- Prepare training: organise training sessions to help colleagues understand how to use the application effectively in their daily work.
- Set up user support: ensure colleagues receive guidance and assistance with questions, support the resolution and follow-up of issues and ensure they have access to correct and up-to-date supporting materials.
- Facilitate IT risk and control activities: support relevant IT risk assessments, documentation and control-related activities to ensure the application is implemented in line with applicable ING requirements. Collaborate with key stakeholders: work closely with the project manager, subject matter experts, ING TECH, end users and the software vendor to keep activities aligned and support a smooth implementation.
Other legal applications and change initiatives
In addition to the Legal Entity Management System implementation, you will:
- Support enhancements and implementations within iManage and Sherpany.
- Assess and test new functionalities.
- Contribute to process improvements. Support IT risk and control activities related to legal applications.

What do you bring?
- A relevant bachelor's or master's degree, for example in Industrial Engineering & Management.
- 1–3 years of working experience in business analysis and/or functional application management, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience with application configuration.
- Fluent English, both verbal and written.
- A proactive, analytical, support-oriented and positively critical attitude.
- Strong social skills and a team-player mentality, combined with the ability to prioritise.
- The ability to quickly navigate different applications and processes. Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Agile, and/or Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps) is an advantage.
