Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Azure Focus

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a focus on Azure, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud-based services. You will work closely with development teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet our business needs. Ideal candidates have a strong technical background, a passion for continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Develop and maintain automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure rapid detection of potential problems.
• Create and enforce best practices for incident management and response.
• Work on capacity planning and resource optimization to ensure efficient use of Azure services.
• Implement disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and services.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Qualification Criteria:

• Proven experience in a similar SRE role, with a focus on Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of system design principles and software architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with Azure services including VMs, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating issues.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
