Job description
A Snapshot of Your Day As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful execution of long-term service contracts (Long Term Programs) for combined cycle power plants towards our customers in Region China – one of the most exciting and dynamic regions in the world. Every day, you embark on a journey through project challenges, skillfully navigating and overcoming them while seeking innovative solutions. Your exceptional communication skills come into play as you engage effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and ultimately leading to customer satisfaction.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the management of long-term service contracts (Long Term Programs) for combined cycle power plants in the region China including Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macao.
- Act as key point of contact for customers, effectively influencing and fostering positive customer relationships together with colleagues from local Siemens Energy offices.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive contract execution strategy, covering risk management, sales opportunity identification, and claim management.
- Maintain oversight of all required deliveries and services while adhering to specified costs, deadlines, and quality standards.
- For long-term service contracts, which are business on own account (BOA) of the regional entity China, you provide project management support and are particularly responsible for spare parts deliveries.
- Serve as the cohesive force in the project as “problem solver” while maintaining high team motivation.
What You Bring
- University degree in a technical field, such as industrial, mechanical, electrical engineering, or similar, or equivalent technical training complemented by extensive professional experience.
- Long Time professional experience in project management, preferably within the international power plant industry.
- Excellent knowledge and skills in project management, ideally certified from IPMA, PMI, or PM@Siemens.
- Experience in working within international teams and different cultures.
- Ability to handle complex challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong passion for engaging with customers.
- Business proficiency in English and German. Chinese language skills are an advantage but not obligatory.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, adapting to project priorities and effectively managing your schedule and task prioritization.
