MEP AutoCAD Technician - Mechanical

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical AutoCAD Technician to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D/3D shop drawings, schematics, and sleeve layouts for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems. You will work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other draftspersons to ensure precise spatial coordination and compliance with authority codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• HVAC Drafting: Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for air duct layouts, chilled water piping, ventilation systems, plant rooms, and schematic diagrams.
• Plumbing & Firefighting: Draft layouts for water supply, soil/waste drainage, storm water, and fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants) in accordance with local regulations.
• MEP Spatial Coordination: Perform clash detection and coordinate mechanical services against electrical containment, structural beams, and architectural ceiling heights.
• Site Support & As-Builts: Prepare builder’s work drawings (wall/slab sleeves and openings), incorporate site engineer markups, and update final As-Built drawings.
• Quantity Take-Offs: Assist engineering teams in extracting accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from CAD drafts.
• Compliance: Ensure all drawings strictly follow company CAD standards, project specifications, and municipal authority codes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a certified CAD/Draftsmanship certification.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical drafting within high-rise, commercial, or residential building construction.
• Software Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). Working knowledge of Revit MEP / BIM workflows is a major advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC ductwork/piping sizing conventions, plumbing flow diagrams, and firefighting system standards.
• Soft Skills: Excellent spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight project deadlines.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
