Design Manager / Design Lead – Architecture

-Job Overview:

• We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Design Manager / Design Lead to lead architectural projects from concept development through detailed design and final client submission.

-Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the architectural concept, design vision, and overall design direction.
• Personally develop and refine architectural designs from Concept through Detailed Design.
• Lead and manage the architectural design team, providing clear design direction and technical guidance.
• Review and control the quality of drawings, BIM models, presentations, and design deliverables.
• Coordinate architectural design with Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, and other disciplines.
• Lead client presentations, design reviews, and design development meetings.
• Ensure designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other applicable building codes, regulations, standards, and authority requirements in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia.
• Review designs for constructability, functionality, detailing, materials, and execution requirements.
• Take the design from initial concept through to a fully coordinated detailed design package for client submission.
• Ensure the final design maintains the original architectural vision while meeting technical and construction requirements.

-Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in architectural design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-level conceptual and architectural design capability.
• Proven experience leading projects from concept to detailed design.
• Proven experience in actual construction and project execution, with a strong understanding of how designs are translated into built projects.
• Experience in villas, residential buildings, commercial developments, and/or mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other applicable building codes, regulations, standards, and local authority requirements in Riyadh.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, architectural detailing, and buildability.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring architectural design teams.
• Previous experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
