Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled OutSystems Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using the OutSystems low-code platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and ensuring applications adhere to architectural, security, and performance best practices.
This role offers the opportunity to work on digital transformation initiatives, application modernization, automation projects, and innovative technology solutions within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain applications using the OutSystems platform.
Provide application support, enhancement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing activities for enterprise systems.
Collaborate closely with business users, project teams, external vendors, ICT providers, and government agencies to support operational requirements and deliver new initiatives.
Work with Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Participate in solution design, development, code reviews, system integration, testing, deployment, and production support.
Research emerging technologies, evaluate industry trends, and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support continuous innovation.
Review project deliverables, including technical designs, source code, test plans, and test reports, to ensure quality and completeness.
Ensure project deliverables comply with organizational policies, security requirements, governance standards, and development guidelines.
Apply OutSystems development best practices, architecture standards, and performance optimization techniques throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support CI/CD practices and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and delivery methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of software development experience.
Certified OutSystems Developer (Associate Reactive, Traditional Web, or ODC Developer Certification).
Hands-on experience developing and supporting applications using the OutSystems platform.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies to accelerate application development, debugging, workflow automation, and data integration.
Experience using Azure DevOps for work item management, source control, release management, and deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of cloud-native application development and deployment practices.
Experience with application integration, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
Advantageous Qualifications:
Candidates possessing one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
Cloud certifications from major cloud providers, preferably AWS.
Experience delivering projects across the full SDLC.
Knowledge of OutSystems BDD Framework.
Strong understanding of application security principles, secure coding practices, and software quality standards.
Experience in application, system, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.
Experience working within government, public sector, or highly regulated environments.
