Your role at a glance NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Vice President, Global Construction Execution (East). Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Global Infrastructure Development, this executive role will have direct accountability for design, supply chain, and construction organizations across India, Southeast Asia (APAC), and Japan in support of capital infrastructure investment. This leader will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to ensure organizational capacity, project performance, and execution excellence in support of regional business goals.

This is a full-time remote role based in India, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, or Malaysia.

What we are looking for

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the construction, design, and supply chain organizations, ensuring alignment with Global Infrastructure Development (GID) priorities, regional business goals, industry trends, and best practices. Identify opportunities to improve speed to market, support growth, and optimize costs.

  • Team Leadership: Lead the regional Vice Presidents for India, APAC, and Japan, along with their respective construction, design, and supply chain organizations, including project managers, engineers, architects, commercial managers, and related professionals. Foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and individual development.

  • Global Leadership: Represent construction execution in key investment, commercial, and strategic forums across the region.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive regional and global improvement efforts that strengthen competitiveness across relevant markets and geographies.

  • Supply Base Development: Personally engage with key principals of supply chain partners to develop a reliable supplier base that supports the company’s regional business needs.

  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Monitor and ensure the development of accurate financial forecasts, reports, and funding plans.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, operations, clients, and regulatory authorities. Communicate project updates, resolve issues, and maintain productive relationships with all parties involved.

KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES

  • Deep knowledge of large-scale construction delivery methodologies, building codes, safety regulations, permitting considerations, and industry best practices across complex, multi-country environments.

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, capital-intensive construction programs on time, within budget, and aligned to business and customer requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to build, sustain, and role model a strong safety culture across internal teams, contractors, and external partners.

  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, forecasting, capital planning, and financial analysis in support of large-scale infrastructure investments.

  • Proficiency with project management software, construction management tools, reporting platforms, and the Microsoft Office suite to support visibility, governance, and executive decision-making.

  • Strong understanding of design, engineering, construction sequencing, procurement, and commissioning dependencies required to deliver data center infrastructure at scale.

  • Proven experience implementing scalable processes, governance mechanisms, and operating rhythms in a rapid-growth environment.

  • Working knowledge of compliance requirements, regulatory expectations, and operating standards across the countries and markets where NTT GDC operates.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operating concepts, regional supplier ecosystems, executive supplier relationships, commercial risk management, and claims management.

  • Knowledge of construction law, contract structures, commercial terms, claims strategy, and risk allocation within major capital projects.

  • Skilled at creating and maintaining a collaborative design, construction, supply chain, and operations environment within a global, matrixed organization.

  • Executive presence and communication skills required to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and represent construction execution in regional and global forums.

  • Ability to operate with ambiguity, balance strategic and operational priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to develop senior leaders, build organizational capability, and drive consistent execution across geographically dispersed teams.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience, typically 20+ years, in construction management, including significant leadership experience within the construction industry. Experience with design and supply chain sourcing in addition to construction is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Remain stationary for extended periods of time.

  • Operate Computer, Peripherals, and other office equipment

  • Perform work during regional business hours and accross time zones, with flexibility for global coordination.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel may be required up to 50%

  • Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection
