Our multidisciplinary team leverages cutting-edge design tools and advanced engineering technologies to bring new ideas to life. We are seeking a Patent Analyst with a strong engineering background to support and manage our patent portfolio. The role involves working closely with engineering, R&D, and legal teams to understand our technologies, identify patentable innovations, and protect our intellectual property.

Responsibilities:

• Identify patentable inventions through regular invention harvesting sessions with R&D and engineering teams, and train engineers on what qualifies as patentable.
• Draft and review patent applications, invention disclosures, and supporting technical documentation.
• Conduct prior-art, patentability, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) searches.
• Assist external patent counsel with patent drafting, filings, prosecution, and responses to patent office actions.
• Prepare technical explanations, drawings, and supporting information required by external patent counsel.
• Act as the main internal point of contact between engineering and external patent counsel.
• Coordinate patent filings and prosecution with external patent attorneys and IP firms internationally.
• Manage patent applications, filing deadlines, renewals, and other portfolio requirements.
• Develop and maintain the global patent portfolio and filing strategy, and provide periodic portfolio analytics to management including coverage by product line, geographic gaps, and upcoming expirations.
• Monitor competitor patent filings and landscape trends, review third-party patents, and identify potential IP or infringement risks.
• Support IP matters relating to new products, partnerships, and technology development.
• Provide practical patent and IP guidance to the engineering and management teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in patents and intellectual property.
• Proficiency with patent search and analytics tools such as Espacenet, PatSnap, Google Patents, or Derwent.
• Familiarity with international patent filing processes, including PCT, Paris Convention, and prosecution at major patent offices (USPTO, EPO, WIPO).
• Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Certification in Patent Analysis, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Patent Law, or a related field (a plus).
• Experience with patent drafting, prior-art searches, and patent prosecution (a plus).
• Patent Attorney or Patent Agent qualification (a plus).
• Experience with IoT, electronics, embedded systems, sensors, EV technologies, or smart devices (a plus).
• Must be able to join immediately and already based in Dubai.

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
