A newly launched AI-native law firm in Berlin is hiring one of its first senior lawyers.

The firm was built from scratch around proprietary AI agents rather than trying to retrofit technology into a traditional law-firm model. It launched this year, already works with 40+ clients and is growing quickly with a deliberately small, senior team.

The role is designed for a lawyer who wants to practise differently.

AI handles much of the research, first-draft work and repeatable legal process. The lawyer owns the judgement, client relationship and quality of the final output.

The work is broad and commercially focused, including SaaS agreements, DPAs, NDAs, licensing, general commercial terms, GDPR and wider compliance matters, with some corporate work where needed. There is also a genuine product element to the role: reviewing AI-generated work, improving how the agents operate and helping shape how legal services are delivered as the firm scales. 

The strongest profile is likely to be someone currently working in-house at a startup or scale-up, ideally with recognised law-firm training earlier in their career. The firm is specifically looking for people used to speed, ambiguity and operating without a large institutional machine around them. 

You should have 4+ years of experience in commercial, compliance or corporate law in Germany, strong hands-on commercial contracts experience, native-level German drafting and professional English. German qualification as a Volljurist or Wirtschaftsjurist is required. 

This is likely to suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, wants broader ownership and sees AI as leverage rather than a threat to legal work.

Compensation: €100k to €120k base, plus 0.5% to 1% equity in the technology company. There is also an uncapped 20% cash bonus on net new annual revenue personally originated.
