Role Overview

We are seeking a self driven individual to join the DBS Group Research team. The role is to support multi-sector equity research coverage across regional markets. The successful candidate will work closely with senior analysts to produce institutional-grade research on companies spanning multiple sectors (e.g., real estate, financials, industrials, consumer, or as assigned), with a regional (Asia-Pacific / Southeast Asia) mandate. This is a hands-on role combining financial modelling, sector analysis, and increasingly, AI-augmented research workflows.

 Key Responsibilities

• Support senior analysts in producing company and sector research notes, initiation reports, and thematic pieces across assigned coverage

• Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comps, SOTP) and earnings forecasts for covered companies

• Track quarterly results, company announcements, and sector news flow; flag material developments

• Conduct company and industry due diligence, including channel checks, site visits, and management engagement

• Assist in preparing investor-facing materials: research decks, factsheets, sector dashboards, and comparative valuation tables

• Monitor regional peers and cross-market read-throughs relevant to covered sectors

• Contribute to house-view thematic research and portfolio strategy pieces

• Maintain data accuracy across internal databases, screens, and consensus trackers

• Support ad hoc requests from sales, trading, and institutional clients

 Requirements

 Experience & Education

• Relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, asset management, or a related analytical role

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field

• CFA (in progress or completed) or equivalent professional qualification preferred

 Technical Skills

• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (DCF, trading/transaction comps, SOTP)

• Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

• Advanced Excel proficiency; comfort with large datasets

• Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or equivalent research platforms

• Working knowledge of PowerPoint for producing polished, client-ready presentations

 AI & Analytical Tools

• Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to accelerate research workflows — data extraction, summarization, first-draft note writing, or model QA

• Comfort integrating AI-assisted research into a compliant, fact-checked institutional research process

• Interest in applying AI tools to improve research productivity and idea generation is highly valued

 Other Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distil complex analysis into clear, concise research

• Regional market awareness (Singapore and broader Asia-Pacific) with genuine interest in multi-sector coverage

• Ability to manage multiple coverage names and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail and comfort working within a regulated, compliance-driven research environment
