Structural Draftsman (Civil)

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Structural Draftsman who has a strong background in the Civil Construction field from the UAE. Experience must be with construction projects dealing with the commercial sector such as Shopping Malls, Branded Outlets, Office Buildings, High-Rise Buildings, and Low-Rise Business/Commercial Towers —and NOT Villas or Residential Houses. The ideal candidate must be proficient in working independently and capable enough to be a Leader in the near future.

What We Are Looking For in a Candidate for this Role:

• Experience: 5–10 years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in structural detailing for consultants or main contractors.
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Drafting.
• Type of Construction: Must have prior experience working on High-Rise Commercial Projects (G+30+), Shopping Malls, Office Complexes, or Mixed-Use Developments with BQ exceeding 5,000 tons of rebar.
• Software Proficiency (Role-Specific):
• AutoCAD (mandatory, 2D & 3D for structural detailing)
• Revit Structure (BIM modeling and extraction of shop drawings)
• Navisworks (clash detection and model review)
• Additional Skills: High attention to detail, accuracy, experience with post-tensioned slabs, transfer plates, core walls, and outrigger systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed structural shop drawings for foundations, columns, shear walls, slabs (flat, ribbed, post-tensioned), staircases, and retaining walls.

· Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS), rebar placement drawings, and coupler/mechanical splice details.

· Detail steel connections, base plates, anchor bolts, and bracings for structural steel elements.

· Perform coordination drafting to detect clashes with architectural and MEP services.

· Update and revise drawings based on engineer's comments and site instructions.

· Prepare as-built drawings reflecting all site variations and approved changes.

· Maintain proper revision control and version history.

· Extract drawing lists, schedules, and quantities from 3D models.

· Work closely with Technical Engineer and Site Engineers for constructability.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
