Location: full remote

Working hours: Full-time

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities Aufgabengebiet

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions based on Java and modern JVM frameworks
  • Build a new tariff management platform, as the current solution is not yet fully fit for purpose
  • Develop an end-to-end solution consisting of backend services and frontend components
  • Develop pay-per-use, pricing, tariff management, and subscription solutions
  • Design and implement orchestration processes for pricing, billing, and product-related workflows
  • Design, develop, and enhance API interfaces and integration services for internal and external systems
  • Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka
  • Work with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) as well as relational databases (e.g., MariaDB)
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve the overall system landscape
  • Collaborate within an agile, international development team

Anforderungsprofil Your Profile

  • Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience as a Software Developer
  • Strong experience with Java and spring Boot
  • Experience in building scalable backend applications and distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB and other NoSQL databases
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MariaDB)
  • Experience in developing subscription models, ideally in the area of tariff management, pricing, billing, or pay-per-use solutions
  • Experience in designing and implementing tariff management systems
  • Strong experience in API development, integration services, and interface design
  • Experience working with Kafka and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge of orchestration processes and complex business workflows
  • Experience building backend services; frontend experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and microservices
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive topics independently
  • Fluent English skills; German is not required

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the energy sector, utilities, or e-commerce
  • Experience with AWS
  • Frontend development experience
