TELECOM DESIGNER

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Designer to support the design and development of offshore telecommunications systems for an ADNOC offshore project. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in telecom design for FEED and Detailed Engineering phases, with hands-on expertise in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) or E3D and offshore oil & gas projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare telecom design deliverables for offshore oil & gas projects during FEED and Detailed Design phases.
• Develop telecom equipment layouts, cable routing layouts, cable block diagrams, termination diagrams, hook-up drawings, and installation details.
• Prepare telecom cable schedules, MTOs, and design documentation.
• Design and model telecom systems using SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) or AVEVA E3D.
• Coordinate with Instrumentation, Electrical, Structural, Piping, and Civil disciplines to ensure clash-free and integrated designs.
• Review vendor drawings and incorporate vendor data into project deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with ADNOC specifications, international codes, and project standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and model reviews.
• Support construction and commissioning teams by resolving design-related technical queries.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of telecom design experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• Mandatory experience on ADNOC Offshore projects.
• Strong experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) or AVEVA E3D.
• Experience in preparing telecom design drawings and 3D models.
• Good knowledge of telecom cable routing and installation practices for offshore facilities.
• Candidates should have experience designing and supporting the following systems: Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA) , Telephone System , CCTV Surveillance , Access Control System (ACS) , Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Structured Cabling System , Fiber Optic Network , LAN/WAN Network , Radio Communication (VHF/UHF/TETRA) , Microwave Communication (preferred) , Marine Communication Systems (preferred) , IP Telephony , Clock Synchronization System, Weather Monitoring / Meteo Systems (preferred)
