Technical Draftsman – Fit-Out Works

Job Title: Technical Draftsman – Fitout
Location: Sharjah, UAE

AYA Constructions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Draftsman to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and shop drawings for ongoing construction, finishing, and fit-out projects across Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out works using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Produce detailed drawings for ceilings, partitions, flooring, joinery, furniture, millwork, gypsum works, finishes, doors, glazing, metal works, and other interior elements.
• Prepare drawing revisions based on consultant, client, and site comments.
• Conduct site measurements and surveys if necessary.
• Prepare reflected ceiling plans (RCP), furniture layouts, finish schedules, and detail drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE building codes, project specifications, consultant requirements, and authority regulations.
• Support project engineers during execution by providing technical drawing updates and resolving drafting-related issues.
• Prepare final as-built drawings upon project completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or a related course.
• AutoCAD certification is preferred.
• Certification in Revit or BIM software is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draftsman in the UAE fit-out or interior construction industry.
• Proven experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, office, and luxury interior fit-out projects.
• Experience preparing consultant-approved shop drawings.
• Familiarity with authority submission requirements (Dubai Municipality, Sharjah Municipality, Abu Dhabi DMT, Civil Défence, and other relevant authorities).
• Experience working with fit-out contractors, interior design firms, or real estate developers in the UAE.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, BIM software, or similar drafting applications is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out construction methods and materials.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of joinery detailing, gypsum ceiling systems, partition layouts, flooring, finishes, and custom furniture detailing.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and fit-out standards.
