As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work at the intersection of innovation and engineering. You will translate complex ideas into high-quality mechanical designs and collaborate closely with experts from various disciplines to solve challenging technological problems.

Your responsibilities include:

• Translating technical concepts into detailed 3D CAD designs;
• creating and maintaining 2D drawing packages and technical documentation;
• applying knowledge of materials, design principles, and manufacturability throughout the design process;
• validating designs through FEM analyses and engineering calculations;
• creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs);
• supporting project managers by providing estimates for lead times and required engineering effort.

What we expect from you

In addition to a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a high-tech development or engineering environment, you bring the following qualifications:

• Proven experience with 3D CAD software; experience with NX and Teamcenter is highly desirable;
• strong expertise in precision mechanical design and kinematic design principles;
• hands-on experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and functional tolerancing;
• familiarity with control systems, thermal engineering, optics, and dynamics is considered an advantage;
• excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English;
• based in the Netherlands.
