What this job involves:

Join JLL's sustainability consulting team as a Senior Sustainability Consultant, where you'll lead energy optimization and building performance initiatives across Singapore's dynamic real estate portfolio. In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your mechanical and electrical engineering expertise to conduct comprehensive decarbonization audits, implement Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs), and drive measurable carbon reduction outcomes for our diverse client base. You'll work at the intersection of technical engineering and sustainability strategy—analyzing BMS data, managing energy improvement projects, and supporting prestigious Green Mark certifications. This position offers significant exposure to high-profile projects, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the opportunity to make a tangible environmental impact while advancing your career with a global real estate leader. If you're a hands-on engineer passionate about energy efficiency and sustainable building practices, this is your platform to excel.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead on-site energy efficiency audits across HVAC systems, boilers, air compressors, lighting, and mechanical/electrical equipment to identify viable Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) and optimization opportunities

  • Conduct detailed BMS and M&V trending data analysis to evaluate building operation characteristics, identify energy savings potential, and develop data-driven recommendations for clients

  • Manage energy improvement projects from conception through implementation, including cooling system retrofits, retro-commissioning initiatives, and ongoing performance monitoring to ensure sustained savings

  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations that clearly communicate audit findings, cost-benefit analyses, and actionable recommendations to clients and stakeholders

  •  Manage Green Mark certification projects, support team collegues and providing technical expertise on energy-related submissions and compliance requirements

  • Perform onsite sensor verification and prepare BCA-OSE reports in accordance with regulatory standards and building performance frameworks

  • Provide consultative analysis and strategic guidance to clients on energy management best practices, regulatory compliance, and sustainability opportunities, building trusted relationships through technical excellence

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering (Environmental Engineering background given lower preference)

  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification - Essential

  • GMAP (Green Mark Accredited Professional) or GMAAP certification - Essential

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Energy Audit, Energy Management, and building performance optimization

  • Demonstrated experience conducting Level-III energy audits or equivalent comprehensive building assessments

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Energy/Power Monitoring Systems (PMS)

  • Legal right to work in Singapore (Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical experience with Green Mark certification processes for buildings and/or Green Mark Interior projects (higher priority)

  • LEED AP and/or WELL AP certifications demonstrating broader sustainability expertise

  • Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) knowledge and relevant certifications for safe onsite audit practices

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite with strong data analytics capabilities for interpreting complex building performance data

  • Experience from energy consultancies, sustainability consultancies, or building services firms with ESD divisions

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to translate technical findings into actionable business recommendations for clients

  • Self-motivated team player with proven project management capabilities and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams
