Senior Test Engineer (Mobile Audio/Video & VoIP)

Title: Senior Test Engineer (Mobile Audio/Video & VoIP) Location: Abu Dhabi About The Role We are looking for a senior test engineer specializing in mobile audio/video quality assurance for our VoIP product (voice/video calling and real-time communication). You will drive specialized audio/video testing and automation infrastructure, and leverage AI to build testing tools that boost team efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own functional testing and quality assurance for mobile VoIP products (iOS/Android), covering 1v1 calls, group calls, weak-network conditions, and cross-platform interoperability
• Conduct specialized audio/video testing: quantitative evaluation of FPS, freeze rate, end-to-end latency, echo, A/V sync, MOS, and other quality metrics; establish testing capabilities and quality baselines
• Design and maintain UI automation frameworks (Appium or similar) to increase mobile regression coverage
• Build and maintain API automation (Python + pytest/requests or similar) and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines
• Leverage AI (LLMs, agents, AI coding tools) to create testing tools: intelligent test case generation, log analysis, defect triage, test data generation, and more
• Contribute to test infrastructure: weak-network simulation, multi-device orchestration (ADB), and competitor benchmarking
• Deliver quantified quality reports and drive engineering quality improvements

Requirements (Must-Have)

• 3+ years of mobile testing experience, including hands-on experience with audio/video, VoIP, or RTC products
• Practical experience in specialized audio/video testing: familiar with measurement methods and tools for FPS, freeze rate, end-to-end latency, and audio/video quality assessment (e.g., ArUco marker-based methods, audio/stream injection, dedicated evaluation devices)
• Proficient in UI automation (Appium/Airtest or similar) and API automation (Python + pytest or similar), with experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong Python skills for test tooling; familiar with ADB commands and multi-device management
• Skilled at using AI for efficiency: demonstrable output using LLMs or AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to build test tools or AI-powered testing workflows
• Strong debugging skills: able to independently analyze client logs, packet captures, and audio/video pipeline issues
• Professional working proficiency in English (daily communication and documentation)

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with the WebRTC stack and audio/video codecs (Opus, H.264/H.265, etc.)
• Experience building weak-network testing platforms or device farms
• Experience with performance testing and stability testing (Monkey/Fastbot)
• Exploration of cutting-edge directions such as VLM-driven UI automation or AI agent test orchestration
