Job description

What To Expect Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg plays a key role in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We are looking for a Site Manager to join our EPC team, responsible for the on-site follow up of CSA/MEP and Underground Utilities Systems.

In this role, you will lead construction activities for advanced manufacturing and infrastructure projects, ensuring all work is delivered in compliance with design specifications, technical drawings, German regulations, and quality standards. Your focus will be on site supervision, quality assurance, safety compliance, and the timely delivery of construction works across all disciplines.

This position requires close coordination with project stakeholders and a hands-on approach to field execution and a big sense of ownership.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design documentation, technical specifications, and German standards (DIN, VDI, DBV, and regional building codes).

  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify work accuracy and compliance with drawings and specifications.

  • Direct and coordinate site teams, including subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.

  • Enforce health and safety regulations in accordance with German occupational safety laws (ArbSchG) and the Construction Site Ordinance (Baustellenverordnung).

  • Identify deviations, quality issues, and technical conflicts during construction, and implement corrective actions in coordination with the Construction Manager when required.

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for client representatives and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, quality, and compliance.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Construction Management or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Site Manager or in a similar leadership role. Large-scale projects may require additional years of experience.

  • Experience in large-scale EPC or advanced manufacturing projects (e.g., semiconductor, EV battery, or data centers) is preferred.

  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills with a strong focus on field execution and quality control.

  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal); German language skills are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Solid understanding of German building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.

  • Strong decision-making skills and a proactive, results-driven approach.

  • Leading multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments prefferred.

  • Proficiency in construction management tools such as Navisworks, Bluebeam, AutoCad, and MS Office.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on technical accuracy and compliance.
