Job description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Health & Safety Manager to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs that protect our workforce and ensure full compliance with local and international regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, decisive leadership, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety excellence across all operational levels.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety policies, procedures, and programs aligned with Saudi Arabia's labor regulations and international standards

Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses across all work areas to identify potential dangers and recommend appropriate control measures

Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions

Maintain comprehensive health and safety documentation, records, and reports required for regulatory compliance and internal audits

Organize and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and understanding of safety protocols and procedures

Perform regular safety inspections and audits to monitor compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement

Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to integrate safety requirements into daily operations and project planning

Prepare and present safety performance metrics, incident reports, and recommendations to senior management

Stay current with changes in health and safety legislation and ensure organizational compliance with new requirements

Coordinate emergency response planning and conduct drills to ensure organizational readiness for potential incidents

Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external safety auditors

15 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in Counsultancy, construction, or manufacturing environments

In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including Saudi Arabia's labor laws and international standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex safety issues and develop practical solutions

Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation methodologies

Proficiency in developing and implementing safety management systems and programs

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and educate diverse audiences

Strong organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail

Experience conducting safety audits and compliance inspections

Familiarity with emergency response planning and business continuity procedures

Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office applications

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to prioritize competing demands

Preferred: Certification in occupational health and safety (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)

Preferred: Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region
