MEP Manager (Saudi National)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across major development projects. The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary MEP teams, manage consultants and contractors, ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and extensive experience managing MEP systems on complex mixed-use, infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, residential, or giga-project developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design coordination, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems.
• Manage MEP consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve MEP designs, technical submissions, shop drawings, material specifications, and method statements.
• Ensure MEP works comply with project specifications, Saudi Building Code, local authority requirements, and international engineering standards.
• Coordinate MEP activities with architectural, structural, civil, and infrastructure disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely execution of MEP works in accordance with approved milestones.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, installation standards, and HSE compliance.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and final project handover.
• Manage project budgets related to MEP works and review contractor valuations, variations, and claims.
• Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and participating in contractor and vendor evaluations.
• Prepare progress reports, technical presentations, and executive updates for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, government authorities, utility providers, and client representatives regarding MEP-related matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP engineering and project management.
• Demonstrated experience delivering mega projects, preferably within large mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, residential, infrastructure, or giga developments.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, building automation, and utility systems.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and multiple contractors.
• Excellent knowledge of project management principles, construction methodologies, and commissioning processes.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Building Code, international engineering standards, and construction best practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination platforms, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Saudi nationals required.
